Guiding Good Choices

April 15 - May 20 (Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm ET)

June 3 - July 8 (Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm ET)

August 5 - September 9 (Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 pm ET)


Guiding Good Choices (GGC) is a FREE family class for anyone who interacts with middle schoolers. It provides the skills to reduce youth's risk for using alcohol/other drugs. The class is six sessions of two hours each week, with a focus on:


  • Risk factors for adolescent substance use & a strategy to enhance protective factors
  • Development of effective parenting practices
  • Family conflict management
  • Use of family meetings as a way for improving family management

Puppy Parade for Sexual Assault Awareness (Virtual & In-Person)

April 21 - 25 (In-person event April 21, 6pm, Dial Help office @ 609 Shelden Avenue)


Pledge your support to survivors of sexual assault and abuse, and walk with your pup at the same time! We invite you to participate in this virtual event by posting photos with your walking companions on social media, using the hashtag #CopperCountrySAAM.


Please contact Paige at psetter-hallwachs@dialhelp.org to get a free teal bandana for your walking buddy!


The in-person event will take place at Dial Help's downtown office located at 609 Sheldon Avenue in Houghton. Contact Paige (email above) to reserve a time slot for your group and claim your teal bandana.

Virtual After School Club

TOP Club meets weekly for an hour and includes hands-on lessons, activities, and community service to build resilience and leadership skills.
