Join us at the Calumet Colosseum on Saturday, September 9th from 12 to 3 PM to raise awareness for suicide prevention and discuss together how we as a community can strive for mental health access for those who need it most.
The event will have a walk through historic downtown Calumet, a guest speaker, live music, food and drinks, and activities for all ages.
This event will be supported by Copper Shores Community Support and Outreach and by the local Calumet School JROTC.

The first week of October is Mental Illness Awareness Week when mental health groups across the country raise awareness, fight discrimination, and provide support for those that live with a mental health condition.
This year, the theme is: "Together We Care, Together We Share." Remember that 1 in 5 adults in the US experience mental illness each year, which affects everyone directly or indirectly through family, friends, and coworkers.
To mark this event, Mental Health Support Group - Keweenaw Area, will have a display table at the Portage Lake District Library all through Mental Health Awareness week. There will be information on the five main groups that help with mental health groups in the area: Mental Health Support Group - Keweenaw Area, Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds, Copper Country Mental Health, Unite Mental Health and Wellness, and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation a/k/a Dial Help.
