Dial Help has achieved the highest professional standards through licensing processes, accreditation standards, annual audits, and service delivery standards, starting with the use of Evidence Based Practices whenever possible.

Dial Help Community Support and Outreach Center is licensed for outpatient substance abuse treatment through the State of Michigan’s Department of Community Health.

Dial Help Community Support and Outreach Center was recently awarded a 5 year accreditation from CONTACT USA. CONTACT USA is one of the only programs in the country devoted to establishing and maintaining standards of service at crisis lines, warm-lines, and reassurance calling programs. Dial Help is currently the only crisis center in Michigan to hold such an accreditation.

Dial Help utilizes a nationally and internationally recognized model from the Duluth Center for Non-Violence for its Domestic Abuse Intervention Program and is currently the only Batterer’s Intervention Program in the Upper Peninsula that has been recognized by the Batterer’s Intervention Program Standards Compliance Council as meeting or exceeding the Batterer’s Intervention Program State Standards.

Dial Help is partially funded by the Copper Country United Way ,  United Way of Dickinson and Iron Counties , and United Way of Marquette County. United Way helps fund 1,800 organizations around the world with the single goals of improving education, help people achieve financial stability, and to promote healthy lives. Dial Help is proud to be part of this mission.

Dial Help Training. All Dial Help Employees, Volunteers, and Interns must pass rigorous background checks before entering 60 hours of an accredited training and shadowing program, overseen by a licensed mental health professional who offers ongoing clinical supervision.

Dial Help demonstrates fiscal accountability by participating in an annual financial audit.

Because of Dial Help’s demonstrated commitment to crisis intervention, Dial Help has been entrusted as a regional call center for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network.
