The Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour is an annual community outreach event that is both a thank you to loyal fans, and an opportunity to raise funds for a local non-profit in each town along the tour. In 2017, one of those towns was Houghton, Michigan, and Dial Help was chosen as the beneficiary for all money raised. The Packers Tailgate Tour visited Houghton on April 6, with almost 500 people attending!
Thank You to Our Community
From businesses purchasing sponsorships or donating to our silent auction, to individuals buying tickets, to those who volunteered at the event itself, our community helped make the 2017 Packers Tailgate Tour stop in Houghton a success. Together, you helped raise nearly $40,000 in funds for Dial Help to continue offering services to those in need, like our 24/7 Crisis Line, our Safety Net Program, and much more. Our crisis line services alone cost $120,000 annually to maintain, so it’s easy to see why this sort of community support makes a big difference for our agency.
Very Special Thanks To
Michigan Tech’s SDC for hosting the event
Ed Janisse for volunteering his time as MC
Walmart, Festival Foods, and Vollwerth’s for helping provide food for the event

Houghton Community Broadcasting’s Kris Kyro, Todd VanDyke, and John Carroll; Eagle Radio’s Ed Janisse and Steve Joseff; and 93.5’s Mitch Lake for going above and beyond in publicizing this event with on-air radio interviews and PSAs
