Dial Help’s Crisis Intervention Unit is staffed by professional, trained employees who are available to provide telephone, walk-in, and instant messaging assistance to community members in need of crisis intervention and information or referrals 9 AM to 2:00am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you need help outside of our operational hours and need immediate assistance please call 1-800-273-TALK, or 9-1-1.
The crisis helpline is also an access point for the Community Coaltion on Grief and Bereavement, a support and education system for persons experiencing grief and loss throughout Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga, and Ontonagon Counties. Dial Help also can connect parents, families, and friends of GLBTQ persons through the local PFLAG chapter. If you are a supportive parent, family member, or friend of a GLBTQ person and want to get connected to this group please contact the helpline. Dial Help is a GLBTQ safe place.
